Greetings, gamers and adventurers! Get ready to embark on an epic journey of gaming and fun this June at The Game Haven. We have an incredible lineup of events in celebration of Pride Month let's dive into the excitement!

June 3rd at 2pm: D&D - Beginner's Campaign

Are you new to the world of Dungeons & Dragons? Fear not, for we have the perfect campaign designed just for you! Join us on June 3rd at 2pm for our monthly D&D - Beginner's Campaign. We'll provide each new player with a free set of dice to kickstart their adventure. And the best part? Our friend Jay has generously offered her time to be the Dungeon Master for this unique experience. We have 6 spots available so please call aheard to reserve one. If its filled up, no nworries, our next meeting is July 8th.

June 4th at 1pm: Paldea Evolved Prerelease

Prepare for an ultimate showdown at our Paldea Evolved Prerelease on June 4th, starting at 1pm. Dive into the world of Paldea and compete against skilled opponents in this thrilling tournament. With three rounds, each lasting 40 minutes, and a best-of-three format, the stakes are high! The top players who win three rounds will walk away with 6 Paldea Evolved Booster Packs, while those who win two rounds will receive 4 packs. And fear not, even if luck isn't on your side, everyone else will still receive 2 packs. Plus, there will be exciting door prizes based on the number of attendees. June 7th at 7pm: Weekly Wednesday Draft and Kaldheim

Midweek blues got you down? Fear not, for our Weekly Wednesday Draft is here to save the day! Join us on June 7th at 7pm for an exhilarating draft experience. We're hosting Game Haven's Community Cube, a unique cube draft format that fits 8 people. We're even working on adding more cards to seat more players. If cube drafting isn't your cup of tea, no worries! We've got you covered with a Kaldheim draft on the side. The entry fee is $10 for the cube draft and $20 for the Kaldheim draft, with regular prize support. Drafters for the cube can also change chards! 

• 3-0 gets to change 2 cards in the cube**
• 2-1 and 2-0-1 players get to change 1 card in the cube**

**Cards must be under $100. If the store does not have the card or is over the $100, you can loan it to the cube.

June 9th at 7pm: Friday Night Magic: Draft and Phyrexia: All Will Be One

Fridays are about to get a whole lot more magical at The Game Haven! On June 9th at 7pm, join us for Friday Night Magic: Draft featuring Game Haven's Community Cube. This time, we're spicing things up with the addition of Phyrexia: All Will Be One as the side draft.

June 11th at 11am: Pokémon League Cup

Attention, Pokémon trainers! It's time to showcase your skills and prove your mettle at our first Pokémon League Cup on June 11th at 11am. We will be opening earlier at 10am this day to allow more time for preperation. Whether you're a Senior, Master, or Junior trainer, there's a division for everyone to compete in. With top players advancing to the cut based on attendance, the competition will be fierce. Be sure to arrive early to fill out your deck list and secure your spot. Entry is $30 for Masters & Seniors, $20 for Juniors (those born in 2011 or later). It's time to unleash your Pokémon's power and aim for victory! Tickets for preregistration are available here.

June 15th: Charity The Gathering: Baltimore

As we celebrate Pride Month, we're thrilled to announce a special event in partnership with Charity the Gathering on June 15th. Join us for a day of Magic: The Gathering and the chance to win amazing prizes while raising money for The Trevor Project, a wonderful cause. Hold onto your socks because this is a big one. 

• What:

Open commander and on-demand chaos drafts. Starts at 4:00 PM, last draft launches at 8:00 PM

• Entry:
• $10 entry per Commander pod.
• $10 + Price of Packs for Chaos Draft. You can either bring your own or purchase packs from us. We have a wide selection!
• ​$50 Chaos Draft. Every participant gets at least one pack of 10th Edition or Legions. This event will be run by a local Judge, Matthew Fox.

 

•  Donations: We’re taking donations for our prize pool and chaos draft packs. Possible donations include:
• Sealed Products (boxes for the prize pool or loose packs for chaos draft)
• Foils and other valuable cards
• Merchandise and promotional materials for MTG or your own brand
• Art work or signed products
• Gift certificates, free subscriptions, or any other products related to your brand/business/content
• If you’ve got some old packs, or a box or two you want to get rid of, some nice foils you’re not doing anything with, or anything else MTG players might be interested in, please consider donating it to our prize pool.

• Prizes and Drawing: You can get tickets for the prize drawing in a number of ways
• Play in a commander pod- 1 ticket
• Enter into a draft pod- 1 ticket
• Win a match in your draft pod- 1 ticket
• Go 3-0 in your draft pod – 2 additional tickets
• You can also get additional tickets for every $10 you donate!
• At 7PM we’ll hold the first drawing, with the winner getting to pick from our pool of prizes. Then we’ll hold additional drawings every 10 minutes. Prizes will be set aside for the final drafters.

June 16th-18th: The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Prerelease

Calling all fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendary world! We're hosting a thrilling Prerelease Weekend for The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth from June 16th to 18th. Dive into the rich lore of Middle-earth and experience the excitement of sealed and 2-Headed Giant Sealed events. With fantastic prizes up for grabs, including foil 30th anniversary Terastodon for preordered tickets, it's a journey you won't want to miss. We also offer Take-Home prerelease kits for those who can't participate in store. Prize support is set boosters, Take-Home kits come with 2 while 3-0 gets 5 The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set boosters, 2-1 gets 3 set boosters, and everyone else gets 1! Tickets for preregistration are available here.

June 21st at 7pm: Prerelease Draft - The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth

Didn't get enough of the prerelease action? Don't worry, we've got you covered! Join us on June 21st at 7pm for a thrilling Prerelease Draft. The entry fee is $35, and exciting set boosters as prize await those who prove their worth on the battlefield. Don't miss out on this chance to continue the adventure!

June 23rd at 7pm: Launch Party

The wait is finally over! It's time to celebrate the launch of the new set with a bang at our Launch Party on June 23rd at 7pm. Join us for a draft event filled with excitement and camaraderie. The entry fee is $35, and top playerswill be rewarded with draft boosters to further enhance their collections. Plus, each participant will receive a special 30th anniversary foil Acidic Slime. It's a party you won't want to miss!

June 25th at 1pm: Monthly Pokémon League Challenge

Wrap up the month with a thrilling Pokémon League Challenge on June 25th at 1pm. Whether you're a Master, Senior, or Junior trainer, there's a division for you to compete in. Show off your skills, strategize your deck, and aim for the top 8 to claim fantastic booster pack prizes. Don't forget to fill out your decklists early and arrive on time to secure your spot. Championship Points await those who prove themselves as true Pokémon Masters!

But that's not all!

In celebration of Pride Month, we're offering a delightful treat. Enjoy a 6% discount on Pokémon Rainbow Rares throughout June. It's a small gesture to spread love, acceptance, and equality within our gaming community.

June 9th and 30th at 7pm: Friday Night Magic: Modern

Entry is just $10. As well as regular prize support, for the entire month of June, we'll also be giving out non foil promo packs from previous sets to each participant. We'll be handing out foil promo packs from March of the Machine to 3-0 players.

 

June 3rd, 10th, and 24th at : Pioneer Saturday

Entry fee is $10 with regular prize support. We'll be handing out a random door prize to a lucky participant: A 30th Anniversary Promo Chord of Calling. We have three so be sure to join the tournament for a chance to win one each saturday.

 

June 28th at 7pm: Weekly Wednesday Draft - The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth

Spice up the middle of your week with a draft! Entry is $35 to get your fill of the newest Magic set available! 3-0 gets 5 set boosters, 2-1 gets 3, and everyone else gets 1! We'll also be handing out promo packs so stick around til the end to find out if you're a lucky winner.

 

June 28th at 7pm: Ladies Magic Lounge

 

From 7pm to 10pm, you can enjoy a night of fun and make new friends. This event is free to attend! Our Assistant Manager, Sham, will be running the event, so be sure to bring your MtG decks (or borrow one of ours). Each participant will receive 1 MtG promo. There are 7 spots available so please contact us to reserve your spot.

 

June 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th at 7pm: Commander League

Join in our monthly Commander League for a chance to win store credit as prize. Entry is $7 and at the end of each night you get one standard booster pack or $4 in store credit. At the end of the month, based on your ranking, you could win an amount of store credit as prize! If you are a new player, be sure to write down the name of whoever referred you to the event so they can get points! Check out this months point sheet.
