This November, Game Haven has an exciting lineup of events that bring together all things Magic, Pokémon, D&D, and more! Whether you’re here to explore the latest Magic: The Gathering release, dive into D&D campaigns, challenge other Trainers, or test your skills in board games, we have something special waiting for you. Magic: The Gathering Foundations Prerelease

We’re kicking off the month with the highly anticipated Foundations prerelease! Challenge yourself in one or all of our five sealed events for a chance to wield legendary spells and face iconic Planeswalkers. Each entry is $40, or register for all five events for $175. Can’t make it in person? No worries—we offer an At-Home option with two extra boosters.

• November 9 at Noon & 5 pm (Sealed)
• November 10 at Noon (2-Headed Giant Sealed)
• November 10 at 5 pm (Sealed)

Magic Academy

With the Foundations release, Wizards of the Coast have created the Magic Academy! We’re hosting two classes to introduce new players to Magic: The Gathering.

• Learn to Play (Free) – On November 24th at 2pm, learn the basics with our staff’s help and receive a free intro deck and reference card.

• Deck Building ($35) – On November 30th at 2pm. Each player will receive six Foundations boosters to build a deck with guidance from experienced players.

Participants in either event get a sticker sheet, promo card, introductory deck, and a helpful guide. Friendly helpers receive a limited-edition Pinfinity Tutor Pin!

 

Duskmourn Store Championship – November 17 at 11 am

Show off your deckbuilding prowess in our End-of-Year Store Championship on November 17th at Noon! For $25, test your skills in the Standard format for a chance to win exclusive promos!

Each entrant will receive a nonfoil Chromatic Sphere promo (while supplies last), Top 8 will get a foil Reality Smasher promo and 1st place will get a foil textless Void Winnower promo! Top 8 and Winners will also receive an additional nonfoil promo with our store name on it!

 

Standard Showdown – Promo Special 

Put your deck to the test in our Standard Showdown, every Friday at 7pm for epic prizes! We’re dishing out some of the hottest promos around! Along with regular prize support, players who go 3-0 will receive promo cards, including special Cowboy Bebop and Lunar New Year designs. 

Plus, starting November 15, the prize pool expands with the addition of Go for the Throat promo.

 

Special Magic Promotions

Wizards of the Coast has provided us with some amazing promotional material we can’t wait to get into your hands! All promos are “While supplies last.”

Foundations has two Buy-A-Box promos, foil extended art Solemn Simulacrum and foil Sol Ring. Buy a full Foundations Play Booster Box or Collector Box and will receive one of each. 

Purchase a Foundations Beginner Box, Starter Collection, 6 packs of Foundations, or any Starter Kit to receive a foil Darksteel Colossus. If you participate in the Magic Academy Deck Building Class, you will also receive one.

Starting November 29th, spend $75 or more on sealed Magic: the Gathering product to receive a Pinfinity AR Pin! Stay tuned for details on a Sealed Sale.

 

Ladies Magic Lounge

 

Join our Assistant Manager Sham, on November  27th from 7pm - 10pm for a special evening of Magic with a cozy, friendly atmosphere. The Ladies Magic Lounge is open to seven participants—reserve your spot today!

 

Pokémon League Challenge

Pokémon Trainers, get ready! Compete in our monthly League Challenge on November 24th at 1pm for a chance to earn Championship Points and store credit prizes. Entry is $10 for Masters and Seniors, $5 for Juniors. Decklists are required, so please come early if you need to complete one. Preregister today!

 

D&D Beginner’s Campaign

New to D&D? Join our Beginner’s Campaign and embark on your first adventure on November 9th at 2pm! Our Dungeon Master Alex will guide you through the basics, perfect for players of all ages. Each adventurer receives a free set of dice to start their journey! Call or email to sign up.

 

D&D Adventurers League: Waterdeep After Dark

Calling all adventurers ages 14 and up! Join our Dungeon Master Alex for an unforgettable quest through Waterdeep: Dragon’s Heist—with special twists from the Alexandrian Remix. Every Monday at 7pm, our campaign welcomes new players and includes downtime to catch up if you miss a session or join in later. Entry is $20 for a night of fun!

 

Heroes’ Hangout - Kids D&D

For our younger adventurers, join us for Kids D&D every Thursday from 6:30pm to 9pm! Entry is $15, and each participant gets a free snack and drink. Heroes’ Hangout is the perfect introduction for our aspiring heroes!

 

Union Arena - Jujutsu Kaisen Release

Celebrate the release of the new Union Arena set, Jujutsu Kaisen! For $30 on November 23 at 1 pm & 5 pm, each participant gets six packs to build a deck and compete against each other. Register on the Bandai Namco app today!

 

Board Game Night

Meet new friends and explore a variety of board games every Thursday night at 6:30pm! Each week, our Store Manager Jake will lead demos of both new and classic board games. Here’s the November lineup:
