Spooktacular October
October is here and with it comes a lineup full of spooky fun, competitive showdowns, and big prizes across your favorite games! Whether you’re into Magic, Pokémon, Digimon, Lorcana, or other TCG's, there’s something for everyone this month at Game Haven.

Magic: The Gathering
Magic Academy – October 12 @ 3PM
Entry: Free!
Learn to play Magic in this fun, beginner-friendly event. Each participant will receive a Spider-Man Welcome Deck, sticker sheet, and Mary Jane Watson promo card (while supplies last).
Experienced players who bring a new player will also receive these promos.
All promos and decks are while supplies last.
Note: All players must sign into the MTG Companion App to receive promos.
Spider-Man 2-Headed Giant Commander Tournament – October 18 @ Noon
Team up and take on the multiverse in this Spider-Man themed Commander event!
Entry: $30 per team member
Cap: 30 players
Format: 2-Headed Giant Commander, Unified Construction
Decklists: Required—upload to Moxfield and email them to us.
Prizes: Each player receives a Spider-Ham, Peter Porker promo while supplies last. Store credit prizes for Top 4/Top 8 based on attendance.
Please arrive with a partner and on time—late arrivals may be excluded from entry.
RCQ: Spider-Man Sealed – October 25 @ Noon
Earn your invite to Regionals in this 2-slot Regional Championship Qualifier!
Entry: $70
Cap: 40 players
Registration: In-store at 11am, event starts at Noon.
Format: Spider-Man Sealed | Rounds based on attendance | Cut to Top 8 Draft
Prizes:
- All participants: 1 nonfoil Shoot the Sheriff promo
- Top 8: 2 nonfoil Laughing Jasper Flint promos
- Top 2: 1 foil Laughing Jasper Flint, 2 nonfoil Laughing Jasper Flint, 3 nonfoil Shoot the Sheriff, and Regional invites!
- Additional store credit prizes based on attendance.
Spider-Man Final Battle – November 2 @ Noon
Entry: $35
Cap: 40 players
Registration: In-Store at 11am, event starts at Noon
Format: Standard, Cut to Top 4/8
Prizes: Winner receives a Spider-Man alternate-art comic book. Additional store credit prizes for Top 4/Top 8.

Regional Battle – October 11 @ 2PM

Format: 3 Rounds | Constructed | Decks limited to Block Icons [4] and [5]

BT-23 Release Event – October 25 @ 2PM
Entry: $35
Format: Sealed | 3 Rounds

Lorcana
Fabled Championship – October 12 @ Noon
Entry: $35
Cap: 40 players
Format: Core (Constructed) | 50-minute Best-of-3 rounds | Swiss with Top Cut
Prizes:
- Champion: Maleficent – Monstrous Dragon Champion Playmat + Promo
- 2nd–8th: Maleficent – Monstrous Dragon Top 8 Promo
- All Participants: Maleficent – Monstrous Dragon Participation Promo

Pokémon
Monthly League Challenge – October 26 @ 1PM
Entry: $10 (Masters/Seniors) | $5 (Juniors)
Cap: 36 players
Format: Standard | 30-minute Best-of-1 Swiss rounds
Decklists: Required—please arrive early or bring your own.
Player ID: Required—Player IDs can be provided if needed.
Prizes: Store credit for Top 4/8 plus Championship Points!
Mimikyu Mimicry Costume Contest – October 26 @ 3PM
Mimikyu’s trying out new disguises—and your kids can too! Mimikyu is known for hiding beneath its Pikachu disguise....but what if Mimikyu decided to mimic other Pokémon instead?
Entry: Free | Ages 14 & under
Theme: “Mimikyu disguised as another Pokémon”
How to Enter: Bring your little Mimikyu to Game Haven on Oct 26!
Prizes: Every participant gets Pokémon accessories from the treasure box. Top 3 and Winner earn store credit.
Riftbound
Release Day – October 31
Step into the Rift! Riot Games’ first TCG, Riftbound: Origines, officially releases. Stop by to grab booster packs or a full box and start building your deck!

Release Event – November 1 @ 2PM
Celebrate the release of Riftbound with us! Players will receive 1 starter deck of their choice (while supplies last) to play in our first tournament for the newest card game!
Entry: $35
Cap: 48 players (16 decks per Champion)
Format: 3 Rounds | 1v1 Best-of-3 | Unaltered Starter Decks
Prizes:
- 3–0: 5 Origines booster packs
